If there is a threat of weather, please call 757-773-4FUN(4386) and we will post a message there if leagues are cancelled. With the weather being so unpredictable, we usually will wait till 5:30pm until we cancel leagues. We have yet to see a puddle on the sand after a day of rain, so there is no need to worry about rain. If we do cancel earlier in the day, we will email team captains to let them know as soon as possible. Our goal is to play, so if the beach is open, we will play!

1. League will follow USAV/FIVB Beach Rules for play
2. Each team will play two matches per night (4 games)
3. All teams must sign a roster during their first night of play. Roster sizes are unlimited, but all players must sign a waiver before playing. Subs are allowed. But in order to be eligible for playoffs, players must have played in at least 1/3 of the season.
4. Players may only play on one team per night.
5. Any team that forfeits more than 1/3 of the season will not be eligible for playoffs.
6. Each team must "referee" one match a night. "Refereeing consist of keeping score and solving conflicts that may arise. It is a lot easier than you think. Each net will have a tick sheet to keep score on and record final scores on.
7. Play will start at 6:15 each night. Staff will be on site by 5:30 each night. Matches may start earlier if all teams arrive and agree to start early.
8. Forfeits will run as follows. Teams will be given 10 minutes from the start of match time to be present for the first game. Teams will be penalized 1 point for each minute they are late. All second games will be a 5 minute forfeit time.
9. Any team that skips out on their referee duties will have their matches forfeited that night. Any team that skips out on two referee duties during the season will be immediately removed from the league and will not be allowed to participate the following season.
